I love giving people the look they desire, especially if it is something that they couldn't have without my help. I specialize in straightening and smoothing hair with the Japanese Relaxer and Brazilian Blowout. In addition I offer hair extensions and a special eyelash extension method that applies extensions to each layer of your lashes.
Men's Cuts, Women's Cuts and Coloring, Special Occasion Up-Do's and Makeup are also on the menu.
From the time I first started in this business until now I have seen a lot of changes, but my philosophy has remained the same. I believe that a great look is only great if the person wearing it is completely happy; I enjoy creating that customized look together with the client as a team. I've found that I have to take the time to really listen to the client as they explain what they want and any issues they may be having with their hair. I also feel that when my guest leaves me, they should feel good about the way they look on the outside… but just as good and refreshed on the inside! That's why every service includes a scalp and shoulder massage.
I was born and raised in Hawaii, and I still have a love and connection to the island with friends that I dance hula with. I also enjoy jewelry making, ceramics, and working on setting up websites for those creations too.
I have assisted hair and makeup on a Mcdonald's and Ballys fitness commercials and also a small movie called "Now you Know" with Jeremy Sisto and Rashida Jones. It was a very fun and interesting experience but I realized I most enjoy working one on one with my guests in a salon.
